There are photographers who would gladly pay for fifteen minutes of your attention.

You have spent years learning what makes a photograph work. This is a way to earn from that, without the part of the job you probably like least.

What you have, and what costs you time

Fotovea handles the business side, so you can spend your time on the part you are good at.

What you would actually do

A photographer asks for a review. We send you five of their photos. You record a video of ten to fifteen minutes talking through what you see. That is the whole job.

It is a friendly conversation, not a lecture. Trust your first impression. There is nothing to prepare, and it does not have to be perfect — a review that sounds like a real person is worth more than a polished one. You are a fellow photographer sharing what you notice, not a teacher correcting homework.

How it works, step by step

1. A photographer asks for a review.
2. We contact you.
3. You receive five photos.
4. You record your video review. We give you a guide for it.
5. You send the video back to us.
6. We review it.
7. You get paid.

We take care of finding the customer, taking the payment, checking the quality and answering any questions afterwards. You never have to ask anyone for payment.

What a good review covers

• Your first impression.
• The technical side — composition, light, and so on.
• What already works.
• What could be better.
• Some encouragement, and what to try next.

Who we are looking for

• Photographers with ten years or more of professional experience.
• People who can explain an idea clearly.
• Two to five hours a week.
• Someone who enjoys watching another photographer get better.

We are opening this to the first 50 photographers.

What we pay

We are still deciding this, and we would rather agree it with you directly than print a number here that we might have to change. Contact us and it is the first thing we will talk about.

One thing to make clear. Inside the Fotovea app, “Senior” is also the name of a judge level that people reach by judging a lot of photos. This page is about something different: a partnership where you review photos and are paid for it. The two are not connected.
